Nita was abandoned by her mother as she was born in the small city of India to be punished only for being a girl.
She was thrown away by her own mother because everyone wants only son. She is unaware of what was done to her in the past. Now she has been brought up by a socialite who is wealthy enough to buy her dreams but he adopted her only to spread his goodwill & prove his greatness in this society.
He still treats her as a burden & a showpiece to present in front of society to be praised by people & he is quite successful as no body can doubt his marvellous acting. But Nita can feel loneliness & doesn't want to be used. She wants to live her own life & aspires of becoming something. Even his father cannot see him becoming something. She doesn't know that the person whom she believes is her father is only a stranger somehow accomodating her in his life. He only talks to her asking about her marriage which she never ever wants to happen & feel somewhere that his father feels him a burden so she sets out to stand upon her own legs & show his father that she doesn't need anyone & she has learnt to live without taking anybody's help but helping others when they need.
But her father hasn't stop pestering her & asking her to marry just because he wants to improve his image in the society. He can play with life of her daughter by tying her without her consent. But she is not ready.
The day comes when the truth behind her father's strange behaviour comes in front of her. She is unable to take it. The discrimination which she was always fighting for which existed between a boy & a girl, which she always dealt with strongly & confidently, she never knew that she was one such victim of that discrimination. It's everywhere, where to go not only in the minds of people but deeply rooted in their thoughts, ideas, acts & decisions. She can just only desire of change, a change that only girls can bring throughout the world by not only demanding their rights but fighting for it together supporting each other & uprooting all discrimination & cultural evils & shutting mouths of those people who say women are weaker sections of society & meant only to be married or treated as objects of entertainment.
This will happen only when women will stop crying about the past & look towards future with a view of moulding it by their own hands.
